ACED has published its 2023 Annual Report. The document looks back on a year of work for equitable development in French-speaking Africa, at the intersection of research, policy engagement, and on-the-ground action.
In 2023, ACED mobilized 1,037,900,905 CFA Francs to implement its projects. The organization carried out interventions on several fronts:
- Renaturing of Abomey-Calavi: green space development, introduction of local flora, training of nursery growers, and preparation of the canopy plan.
- Wagashi Gassirè Geographical Indication (Borgou-Alibori): value chain analysis, establishment of the reflection group, and first certification documents.
- Agricultural value chains: support to the seed and vegetable sectors, livestock feed production units, and a stronger e-agriculture ecosystem.
- Research and evidence: agricultural digital solutions, impact evaluations, and the promotion of an evidence culture among decision-makers and practitioners.
The EPA 2023 Forum was a highlight of the year. It brought together public decision-makers, researchers, the private sector, and partners around the use of evidence in policymaking.
On the institutional front, ACED refreshed its strategic plan, rolled out its communication and branding strategy, and strengthened its governance.
