The Observers from France 24 presented in a documentary the actions taken by ACED and the NGO BEES to inform the authorities about the problems of overfishing and pollution of Lake Nokoué. ACED also involves the population in the fight against water hyacinth, by teaching market gardeners, techniques for collecting and transforming water hyacinth into compost. Water hyacinth is a plant that pollutes the lake and prevents the development of fish resources.
