Evidence generation

ACED is dedicated to fostering research that addresses pressing development challenges. By identifying evidence gaps, setting research agendas, and offering research grants, we ensure that the knowledge we produce is both relevant and impactful.

Research agenda

ACED has supported Benin in developing a food and nutrition security research agenda to address the country’s urgent challenges in the sector.
This valuable tool identifies the 100 most critical and topical research questions to guide efforts, encourage collaboration and promote the use of research results for informed decision-making and improved food and nutrition security in Benin.

Small research grants

ACED’s Small Grants Research Program supports the production and synthesis of evidence on food systems, natural resource economics, the digital economy, and human development for the benefit of policymakers and practitioners. The program focuses on French-speaking West African countries.
The program is based primarily on the research agendas drawn up by ACED for these countries. The PPSR thus enables us to move from the questioning phase to that of providing useful answers for stakeholders.
The first edition of the PPSR focused on the research agenda drawn up in Benin on food and nutritional security.
